The rains of 2026 have given life to the yeperenye’s again! You can usually find them on either Bush Tomato, like in this painting, Sticky Tar-Vine (Ayepe) or Purslane (looks like a succulent weed).

This specific bush tomato was from the Eastside hills along the mountain bike trails, and it’s typical not to see the actual tomatoes. Good thing as this one is poisonous… Solanum Quadriloculutam. 

I had the urge to paint this lilac tone and really glad I did.
